The hire clock starts immediately
The 30-day window runs from the hire date, not from the first day the driver operates a commercial motor vehicle. If paperwork is still moving, the clock is already running.
One state is not always enough
If the driver held a licence in more than one state during the past three years, you need an initial MVR from each of those states — not just the current one.
Separate from the annual pull
The initial MVR at hire is a one-time item in the first 30 days. The annual MVR is the recurring pull every twelve months after that.
